If it’s not too late I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Our thoughts of course are still very much with all those who have suffered loss in whatever way, due to the floods, in Queensland and now in North New South Wales and Victoria. Our thoughts are also with those in Western Australia who lost property in the recent fires.

I would like to wish everyone a very happy festive season, and all the best for a successful and productive 2011.

2010 has been an eventful year in the Assembly and much has been covered, but still much needs to be done.

ACTEW Corporation Managing Director Mark Sullivan announced the community-wide exemptions from Stage 3 Water Restrictions that will be introduced in coming weeks for late spring and summer.

It’s the festive season already and we will welcome in the New Year very soon. It always seems to come around so quickly.

Since my last message the ACT elections have been held and I am pleased to be able to say that I have been re elected for a 2nd term as part of a Labor Government’s 3rd term. I greatly value the trust that has been placed in me by the people in Ginninderra.

Spring is upon us and it seems such a short time since I last wrote to you all, when we were just starting to face the rigors of winter. We will all soon be walking amongst the tulips and daffodils of Floriade. This year’s theme is all about film and I hope you are able to get along to the Nightfest. Check out more details.
