Stage 3 Water Restrictions will be introduced in coming weeks for late spring and summer

ACTEW Corporation Managing Director Mark Sullivan announced the community-wide exemptions from Stage 3 Water Restrictions that will be introduced in coming weeks for late spring and summer.

Spring is upon us and it seems such a short time since I last wrote to you all, when we were just starting to face the rigors of winter. We will all soon be walking amongst the tulips and daffodils of Floriade. This year’s theme is all about film and I hope you are able to get along to the Nightfest. Check out more details.

What a wonderful year 2008 is turning out to be. At last we have had an apology from our Federal Parliament to the Stolen Generation for past wrongs committed. I heard many people say they thought they would never live to see this day. Obviously this is only the beginning of the road to true reconciliation, but a significant beginning none the less.

I am sure everyone is looking forward to a break over the holiday season and I’m glad that the Federal election is behind us.

It will be interesting to see what long term affect the change of Government at the Federal level will have on the ACT.

October 2007 already! I hope everyone is starting to put their Christmas preparations in place. It' s only yesterday, I am sure, that we put the 2006 Christmas decorations away!

It has been some time since I have been able to update my blog. Recently the Chief Minister tabled the 2007/08 Budget which can be accessed here.

Hi everyone, February is turning out to be a busy month already. The Multicultural Festival has been a great success. I was able to attend a number of events during the week. Civic was really humming every time I went to an event or came into town on the weekends. Perhaps the Federal Government's decision to replace the word Multicultural with Citizen has sparked additional interest?
